Back again! For those of you who missed the first post, have a look here to see why I’ve decided to track how I spend my week.
6:00am – 7:30am Wake up, shower, prep lunch for the day, write my blog post about Sunday’s activities!
8:00am – 1:00pm Work. I’m the Recording and Licensing Manager at the Canadian Music Centre where I manage their all-Canadian recording label, Centrediscs. I’m currently working on a CD that’s launching this week of solo piano. More about that here, if you’re interested. I eat breakfast first thing when I get to work and for the past two months it’s been the same (weekdays) and I love it: two servings of fruit (blueberries and something else), 1/3 cup of non-fat Greek yogurt, and 1/3 cup of All Bran Buds.
1:00pm – 2:00pm I am lucky enough to work with the fabulous Emma Jenkin, and we eat lunch together pretty much every day. I couldn’t get sick of her if I tried. Lunch was leftover roast chicken and veg which was simply delightful.
2:00pm – 4:30pm Work more. Good times.
4:30pm – 4:45pm Go visit my brother at work on the way home. He’s been working at the Pilot for almost four years now and since friends of the family own it, it’s always great to stop by and see familiar faces. (Not to mention the food is awesome, and in the summer they have one of the best rooftop patios in the city.)
5:15pm – 6:45pm Gym time! Ran, did some work with free weights and then some ab exercises.
7:00pm – 10:30pm Went to have dinner and catch up with my high school friends as one of the crew was visiting from Ottawa doing interviews for residencies at med school. We had fajitas and… well, watched the Bachelor. I can’t help it. After a busy day I like to unwind with some total crap every once in a while! Plus, I also knit at the same time so I’m being productive, right? I’m currently knitting a vest! Pattern and yarn given to me as a gift this Christmas from the boyfriend’s mum. So thoughtful.
10:45pm – 11:45pm Get home, get ready for bed and read my new issue of the Walrus that arrived! Didn’t last long, though. Totally exhausted.
