I’ve always cooked. Well, since I had to cook for myself. My parents are both excellent chefs and my father, in particular, could easily open his own restaurant he’s such a good saucier. I was taught well. It was only in the last year that I saw a nutritionist and started to understand the science of how to put together a wholesome, healthy meal. I’m still far from understanding macrobiotics, but I’ve been adventuring in cooking some new recipes with whole foods, locally sourced, if possible, and low on dairy and meat.
